Our Mission is: To provide a place of help and hope for problem gamblers and their families. We were conceived with the sole purpose of providing various levels of treatment and care to improve the everyday lives of those who have been adversely affected by gambling addiction and to help them make their lives manageable again.

The Harbour Pointe advantage -- our experience equals success. For years, Harbour Pointe has been in the business of helping people recover from gambling addictions. Harbour Pointes work and model has set the standard and defined the model for gambling treatment programs in operation today. It was Harbour Pointes staff who began teaching the mold that individual sessions opposed to group therapy will allow one to address the underlying and ?real issues? in a residential setting, and whose ground-breaking work in incorporating psychology and psychiatry, physical health and fitness, emotional and family systems therapies, have come to define the "multidisciplinary model" of care at Harbour Pointe. Our family dynamic with the gambler and their loved ones is like no other. Our philosophy at Harbour Pointe is that an individualized treatment approach for each client will allow the client to extinguish the fire (the gambling) and go 2-3 steps beyond the gambling to find the fuel (the underlying issues) that has been re-igniting the fire over the years. With the above approach Harbour Pointe can help the gambler and their families find long term recovery and reunite them as a healthy, whole functioning unit once again. Our program is unique in this approach and in the fact that we only treat compulsive gamblers and limit our client population to only 8 beds at a single time.
Our Executive Director Story: In January 2005 our Executive Director, Michael Osborne, had the privilege of appearing on HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumble to sit down with Armen Keteyian to share his personal story about his long journey back from the grips of a compulsive gambling addiction. We have posted this video clip in hope that it will not only help the compulsive gambler, but also those who live and/or have had their lives affected by a compulsive gambler. We share this with the interest that it will give hope to all those who are suffering from the grips of this devastating disease.
