Today is of course a sad day for racing as yesterday we learned of the death of Sir Henry Cecil, the legendary trainer who has been at the forefront of racing for decades. It is a tragic loss to racing and we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all his family and friends, as we are sure you do also. Racing has always needed people like Sir Henry and he has left a lasting mark on the industry and will be sadly missed by everyone who has an interest in horse racing.
There are a huge number of horses running today at various racecourses in the UK, so if you fancy a flutter then you will be able to have a wager on several runners and riders in both the afternoon race cards and also the evening race cards.
The afternoon races are being held at Beverley, Haydock and the stunning little seaside racecourse at Yarmouth which is very popular throughout the summer months with holiday makers looking for a great days entertainment.
This evening we see races from both Kempton and Hamilton, both have a large number of horses running so there is plenty of betting opportunities on offer, and many online uk bookmakers are offering best odds guarantees on many of today’s races so lots of value can be locked in.
We have chosen to take a look at the 3:20PM race being held over at Beverley in the hope we can give you a few pointers in regards to the horses that have at least a winning chance! The official going at Beverley has been described as Good to Firm and this race is being held over 1 mile and 6 furlongs.
It is a tricky little 6 runner affair and as such the live betting odds on offer are not going to be overgenerous, however having taken a good look through the list of runners on that des catch the eye based on the last outing of that horse is Sioux Chieftain, in the saddle today is Shane Kelly and this is one of the runners which is likely to put up a good performance.
However it may be worth you having a small saver wager on Argent Knight who has Graham lee in the saddle, this horse has found his form this season and should be the min danger to Sioux Chieftain
